Across Clinton Public Schools, students and staff came together to honor our nation’s heroes during Veterans Day programs held throughout the district. 🇺🇸

From heartfelt speeches to the moving performances of the National Anthem and patriotic selections by our band and choirs, each assembly served as a reminder of the courage and sacrifice of those who have served. Veterans were recognized as honored guests, and students gained a deeper appreciation for the true meaning of service and freedom through the day’s tributes.

Thank you to all veterans for your bravery and dedication. We are grateful for your service today and every day. ❤️🤍💙

Parents, staff, and community members:

Following our appeal hearing with the OSSAA Board, the decision regarding our November 7 game has been upheld.

As a result, the Clinton Red Tornadoes will travel to Tuttle to take on the Tigers this Friday night at 7:00pm in the first round of the OSSAA playoffs.

While we are disappointed in the outcome, we respect the OSSAA’s decision and will continue to move forward with integrity and focus. Our coaching staff has implemented additional steps to ensure that all eligibility procedures are followed going forward.

We are proud of our players and coaches for how they’ve handled this situation and appreciate our community’s continued support. Let’s show up strong for our team Friday night in Tuttle.

We are proud to celebrate Kimberly Duerksen for being named the Educator of the Game at Friday night’s Senior Night! 🌪️🍎

For 32 years, Mrs. Duerksen has been inspiring students through the gift of music—sharing her passion, talent, and heart in every note. For the past four years, she has poured that same dedication into Clinton High School and Clinton Middle School, creating a space where students are both challenged and encouraged to grow as musicians and individuals.

Her students describe her classroom as a home and her choir as a family. She stays late to help, ensures every student has what they need to succeed, and never lets anyone struggle alone. One student shared, “She helped me find my voice when I had nothing. My confidence and talent have grown because of her.”

Her impact extends far beyond the classroom. Under her direction, the CHS Choir was recently selected as an honor group for the Oklahoma Music Educators Association (OkMEA) conference—a reflection of the excellence she inspires every day.

Thank you, Mrs. Duerksen, for using your gifts to help students find their voices and believe in themselves. Your leadership and love for music truly make a difference. 🌪💛

Parents, staff, and community members:

We regret to inform our fans and supporters that we had an ineligible player participate in our varsity football game on November 7 against Douglass. Following a review of the situation, it was determined that this player did not meet the necessary eligibility requirements.

Upon discovery of this issue, we promptly self-reported the matter to the OSSAA. As of now, our team will be required to forfeit the game in question. We will be appealing this decision on November 12 at the OSSAA Board meeting. Maintaining fairness and integrity is of the highest importance, and we remain fully committed to upholding the standards set forth by OSSAA.

The final decision from the appeal committee will impact our district standing and the OSSAA playoffs. If the appeal committee overturns the decision, we will host Blanchard next Friday night. If the committee upholds the decision, we will travel to Tuttle for a first-round matchup.

We are taking this matter seriously and are implementing measures to ensure all players meet eligibility requirements moving forward. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work through this situation. As soon as we know more information, we will share it with you.
